EPD Environmental Product Declaration

An EPD, Environmental Product Declaration, is a standardised document with the environmental performance of a product based on an LCA.

Definition

The document makes environmental effects of products comparable according to fixed standards, including EN 15804, from raw material extraction to end of life.

Applied in practice

New Economy substantiates EPDs with LCA data for biobased and circular products, making environmental claims verifiable.
