Concepts, methods and applied transition knowledge
The New Economy knowledge base brings together core concepts, methods and perspectives from the regenerative economy. Articles explain footprint, compliance, circular product design, regenerative strategy, food systems and regional policy in practical terms, with clear links to life-cycle assessment (LCA), social cost-benefit analysis (MKBA), CO2 footprint, carbon sequestration, biobased materials and circular business models.
Digital Product Passport
A Digital Product Passport is a digital information carrier with data on the materials, origin and circularity of a product.
The passport makes information on composition, repair and recyclability accessible across the value chain, from producer to recycler, and will be phased in from 2027 under the EU Ecodesign Regulation.
Applied in practice
New Economy prepares companies for the Digital Product Passport by structuring material data from LCAs and EPDs in advance.
