Concepts, methods and applied transition knowledge
The New Economy knowledge base brings together core concepts, methods and perspectives from the regenerative economy. Articles explain footprint, compliance, circular product design, regenerative strategy, food systems and regional policy in practical terms, with clear links to life-cycle assessment (LCA), social cost-benefit analysis (MKBA), CO2 footprint, carbon sequestration, biobased materials and circular business models.
Science Based Target
A Science Based Target is an emission reduction target aligned with the climate pathway of the Paris Agreement.
The target is underpinned by scientific climate scenarios and sets out how much and how fast scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions must fall to stay within the warming limit.
Applied in practice
New Economy translates a Science Based Target into a concrete reduction pathway per scope, based on an organisation’s CO₂ footprint and baseline measurement.
