Circular economy in the province of Flevoland
The province of Flevoland asked New Economy to help develop a strategy to strengthen the transition to a circular economy — an economy in which raw materials retain their value and loops are closed as much as possible. New Economy set up the Flevoland Circulair platform and was involved in seven circular chains (natural fibres, rotor blades and roofing) that have since recorded their circular plans in a chain agreement.

The Flevoland Circulair platform
New Economy set up the Flevoland Circulair platform, through which entrepreneurs connect with each other and exchange experiences and lessons about the transition to a circular economy. The platform accelerates collaboration, makes knowledge widely available and helps entrepreneurs seize circular opportunities more quickly.
Seven circular chains
Building on the strategy that was developed and the activities in the region, New Economy was involved in establishing seven circular chains in the areas of natural fibres, rotor blades and roofing. These chains reached a chain agreement recording the efforts and circular plans. In this way the circular economy in Flevoland takes concrete shape and new business models emerge for the region.
