Solar and wind power are globally cheaper than any other energy source on average. This makes renewable generation a cost argument as well as a climate argument. The structural cost decline of solar, wind and storage strengthens that position.
For Gelderland, this does not mean that every project is automatically easy. Grid capacity, siting, storage, flexibility, spatial quality and local support still determine speed and feasibility. The source therefore points to a system task: low generation costs must be connected to grid integration and place quality.
