Mobility and transport in Gelderland: 0 Mton CO₂-eq reduction potential through Drawdown solutions in 2030

The reduction potential assigned to the mobility and transport sector through Drawdown solutions comes out at 0 Mton CO₂-eq in 2030. The reason is that nearly all mobility emissions are energy-related; for the non-energy residual stream, the Pareto analysis identifies no direct reduction solution.

This zero is an analytical outcome, not a claim that the sector cannot become more sustainable. The energy-related emissions of road traffic are addressed by other means, such as a lower speed limit, and do not count within the non-energy Drawdown scope. In that respect mobility differs from agriculture, industry and the built environment, where non-energy solutions with measurable potential have been calculated.
