Over a four-year period, the Veggiebox approach distributes 40,000 boxes containing about 260,000 kg of vegetables and fruit. The boxes give produce that falls outside regular sales channels another destination with households.
The figures are cumulative over four years and should not be read as an annual volume. In the exploratory SCBA, this food flow shows how redistribution can reduce food waste while supporting access to vegetables and fruit. The figure therefore links rescued produce with social value.
