Within the cabinet system, the shelves and closed compartments come in two standard widths, 30 and 60 cm. Shelves serve as open surfaces, boxes as closed compartments, and both sizes can be freely combined within the same frame.
That dimensioning makes the system griddable: an arrangement can be extended, rearranged or adjusted by adding or moving parts. Because the connections are demountable, shelves and boxes remain reusable when the layout changes, which fits the principle of retaining value rather than replacing it.
