Biobased Design: eight regenerative lenses in the design manifesto

The design of the Regenerative Modular Cabinet follows eight regenerative lenses along which social, ecological and economic value reinforce one another. The eight lenses are social value, ecological value, economic value, attractive and connecting, avoiding conflict, the Jevons paradox, local, and equity.

Together they form an assessment framework that reaches beyond material choice alone: a product must also yield fair work, use healthy raw materials, discourage unnecessary consumption and remain accessible through do-it-yourself kits. In this way regenerative design is translated into concrete decisions about form, material and use. Source: Biobased Design project dossier, New Economy.
