Gelderland’s industry and business climate task is mainly a reduction task. The analysis identifies an estimated 0.077 to 1.2 Mton CO₂-eq reduction potential by 2030, without adding a separate sequestration estimate.
This distinction matters for steering. Industrial measures should focus on process emissions, efficient production, cleaner inputs, material choices and refrigerant management, while carbon storage is treated in other land-use and material pathways.
