The reduction potential on the Climate Opportunities Map Gelderland is more than one and a half times the provincial task: 12,619 kton CO₂-eq stands against 7,500 kton for 2030. The inventoried measures therefore exceed the required reduction.
That surplus means the task is in principle achievable without every solution being used to the full, which leaves room to weigh cost, public support and feasibility. At the same time the margin is no guarantee: the gap between potential and realisation depends on the pace at which measures are actually introduced.
