For frames, panels and covers, the Regenerative Modular Cabinet offers six biobased material options, each with its own role in the design. Besides Finnish FSC timber for the load-bearing frames, these are SeaWood, City_Wood, Paulownia and Ecor for the panels, and reed and cuttings for the covers.
The materials come from renewable sources and local residual streams. SeaWood and City_Wood refer to marine and urban material streams respectively, Paulownia is a light timber for modular applications, and Ecor is a board material based on paper and fibres.
