A city fund is not just a subsidy pot in the exploratory SCBA. It is a way to organise continuity, co-financing and shared learning across food initiatives, without forcing each initiative to compete separately for temporary support.
The SCBA uses a fund of about €2 million, including about €1 million in municipal funding, and about €6.5 million in annual benefits. The benefit-cost ratio is about 3.2, or about 6.5 per public euro.
