84% of Amsterdam’s food supply is predominantly unhealthy

According to the Monitor Voedsel 2024, 84% of food providers in Amsterdam have a predominantly unhealthy offering. This figure describes the food environment in which informal food initiatives operate and underlines why their contribution to healthier food carries social weight.
