What is the building environmental performance (MPG) for insulation?

Definition. The building environmental performance (MPG) spreads environmental cost over the lifetime. It builds on the Environmental Cost Indicator and converts it to a yearly figure, accounting for a material’s lifespan and reusability, in euros per square metre per year; the lower the MPG, the more sustainable the material.

In the study, the MPG ranged from €0.005/m²/year (cellulose) to €0.306/m²/year (perlite). New Economy’s circular insulation study for Amsterdam reports this.
