Restoring ecosystem services is also an economic necessity. Investing in the restoration of ecosystem services pays off economically as well: Dutch financial institutions have €510 billion outstanding with companies that depend heavily on those services, and the World Bank estimates the damage from nature loss at 2.7 trillion dollars per year in 2030. Without a calculation, the value of regenerative agriculture stays invisible.
