Two calculated solutions give Utrecht mobility a combined reduction potential of 1,190 kton CO₂-eq per year by 2030: electric vehicles (870 kton) and electric bicycles (320 kton), both calculated on the RIVM Emissions Registry.
Mobility is the province’s largest emission sector at 3.16 Mton. Public transport, fewer transport movements and electric alternatives together determine how fast that figure comes down.
