Farmers can become raw-material suppliers for the circular economy when agricultural crops are used for biobased construction materials, insulation or other long-life applications. This creates an additional revenue route alongside food production, provided that processing, quality standards and stable demand are organised.
The development connects agricultural transition with circular construction. Cultivation alone is not enough: harvesting, processing, certification and procurement must function as a chain. When that chain is reliable, farmers can contribute to material substitution, carbon storage and regional value creation.
