Energy is an enabler across domains because mobility, buildings, industry and agriculture all depend on the availability of clean and reliable energy. Electrification only works when generation, grids, flexibility and demand response are planned together.
For mobility, this is especially visible in charging infrastructure and smart charging. Electric vehicles can reduce emissions, but they also add load to the grid. That is why mobility policy needs coordination with energy planning, spatial choices, charging behaviour and grid-capacity management.
