High-tech systems can be difficult to recycle because they combine many materials, electronics, precision components and specialised assemblies. Complexity makes simple end-of-life recovery less effective.
That is why circularity for radar systems and similar products should start earlier in the lifecycle. Design for maintenance, component replacement, documentation, take-back and responsible processing can preserve more value than treating the product only as waste. The circular strategy needs to fit the technical complexity of the system.
