Demand can be planned to a reasonable degree when a product is used in predictable operational settings. That makes circular service models more realistic, because maintenance, spare parts, replacement moments and logistics can be organised around expected use.
For circular manufacturing, predictability matters. If demand is visible, companies can move from one-off sales towards service, repair, remanufacturing and performance-based models. Planning also lowers risk for customers and suppliers, because availability, downtime and cost can be managed as part of the value proposition.
