The ambitious reduction potential of emission-free vehicles in Gelderland is 1,386 kton CO₂-eq in 2030. In the analysis, this makes emission-free vehicles the largest single mobility solution. The figure describes a technical and policy potential, not an automatically achieved reduction.
Actual climate gains depend on the pace of vehicle replacement, charging infrastructure, the electricity mix and changes in travel behaviour. Cycling, smarter transport and lower transport demand also remain necessary. Realisation therefore requires coordinated investment, policy choices and behavioural change across the mobility system.
