Solar parks are the largest electricity solution for the province of Utrecht at 330 kton CO₂-eq per year. The plausible scenario assumes ±1.073 TWh of generation from the three RES regions; the ambitious scenario adds a 57.6% yield improvement per hectare.
Solar parks produce almost as much energy as a conventional power plant of the same scale, but up to 94% cleaner. Economies of scale make installation costs per watt lower than rooftop solar.
