Washing machines, tools, internet and insurance: many goods and services sit idle most of the time or are paid for twice over per household. Sharing puts them to full use. The Transform method calculates around €41,000 in societal value per model neighbourhood against €21,000 in costs — a doubling of every euro.
Shared internet is up to five times cheaper per household; shared care services deliver €689 in benefits against €470 in annual costs.
