From dreams to delivery: a neighbourhood agenda takes shape in five steps

A neighbourhood agenda unites the wishes of residents, other stakeholders and the municipality and translates them into interventions. The step-by-step plan from the guide counts five steps: dream (what are the desired outcomes and which interventions belong to them), unite (link outcomes and interventions where possible), prioritise (which theme first and what is feasible), agree (from ambition to delivery actions) and monitor (does the intervention have the desired effect).

All stakeholders belong at the table — besides residents and the municipality also schools, housing associations, community organisations and the police. That way the agenda becomes the springboard to desired interventions rather than a paper wish. Source: Transform Zuid-Holland (in Dutch).
