A system can be fairly modular and still have relatively limited circularity opportunities. Modularity helps with repair and replacement, but circular value also depends on use context, technical complexity, customer requirements and whether components can be recovered at scale.
For high-tech radar systems, circular improvement therefore needs a careful route. The opportunity is not simply to copy generic sharing or recycling models. More realistic options often sit in maintenance, component replacement, lifetime extension and better end-of-life agreements for specialised parts.
