The average annual growth of electric vehicles in the Netherlands is 85.9% — almost 50 times the growth of petrol cars (1.7%). Fully electric grows at 79.8% and hydrogen at 92.0%; hybrid grows 78.5%, while diesel shrinks by 2.5% per year (CBS, per 31 December 2020).
Electric vans are following: over 4,300 were on the road by early 2020, a rise of 40.1% in one year (Top Sector Logistics). The transition is no longer a forecast but a measured trend.
