A CNC system is a complex product for the manufacturing process. It combines hardware, controls, software, precision components and maintenance requirements, so circular improvement has to look beyond the material composition alone.
This complexity can make recycling difficult, but it also creates opportunities for value retention. If components, service knowledge and performance data are organised well, the system can support refurbishment, upgrades, maintenance contracts and longer use. Circularity then becomes part of operational reliability.
