The climate solutions assessed for the province of Utrecht add up to a potential of 6,040 kton CO₂-eq per year by 2030: 5,620 kton of emission reduction plus 427 kton of carbon sequestration in soil and biomass. This is the ambitious scenario in which all sixteen solutions are pursued in full.

The potential was calculated using the Drawdown methodology with Utrecht-specific parameters per solution. The largest contributions come from timber construction (1,120 kton), electric vehicles (870 kton) and peatlands (620 kton).
