Kraak de Crisis came into being at the start of the coronavirus crisis in 2020, as an initiative to emerge from the crisis better, more sustainably and more resiliently. The enforced standstill was taken as an occasion to examine how society and the economy might be rebuilt.
The momentum of the crisis formed the core of the approach: precisely when much activity lay still, room opened up to think about a different arrangement of economy and society.
