Industrial emissions in Gelderland fell from 3,706 to 3,548 ktonnes CO₂-eq between 2021 and 2022. That is a decline of 4.3%. National industrial emissions fell more sharply in the same period, by about 19.9%.
The source shows that Gelderland industry is moving, but not yet fast enough. Toward 2030, energy efficiency, landfill gas capture, CCS or CCU around AVI Duiven and biobased construction remain the main routes. The challenge lies in implementation speed, infrastructure, investment certainty and regional value-chain development.
