A food initiative can use the calculation model for €0: the instrument is free and publicly available, both as an editable Excel file and in an online Google Sheets version. No prior permission is needed to work with it.
The model is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0), with acknowledgement of the municipality of Amsterdam as commissioning party and of New Economy and Pepijn Duijvestein as author appreciated. That low threshold allows small initiatives without a research budget to substantiate their societal value as well, for a grant application, an annual report or a conversation with the municipality.
