If the province of Utrecht pursues all nineteen calculated solution variants in full, annual emissions fall by 79% by 2030: 6.04 Mton of reduction and sequestration against current emissions of 7.65 Mton.
The report stresses that this is the most ambitious scenario in the Carbon Reduction Visualizer, intended to show the upper limit of what is possible. The outcome demonstrates that existing, proven solutions together reach further than the province’s current climate targets.
