Feed transition is one of the agricultural measures in the Gelderland climate calculation. In the ambitious scenario, its reduction potential is about 305 ktonnes CO₂-eq by 2030. This makes feed policy comparable with other agricultural measures and visible as a practical climate lever.
The value is not only in the number, but in the link with wider choices around livestock, nutrient management and regenerative agriculture. Feed changes can reduce emissions, but require monitoring, suitable farm practice and coherence with soil and manure policy. That makes feed transition part of an agricultural system, not only a technical measure.
