Many companies want to get started with circularity but don't know how. Commissioned by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), CIRCO has developed a methodology that allows companies to learn about circular design. This allows them to immediately start designing their products or services circularly. CIRCO aims to support provinces in establishing CIRCO tracks for companies within their own region.
New Economy is CIRCO's executive body and responsible for activating regional governments in conjunction with the transition agendas. On behalf of CIRCO, New Economy engages the provinces by bringing together businesses that, together with their supply chain partners, want to learn about circular design and immediately start (re)designing their own products and services.
In 2021, New Economy will be responsible for decentralizing CIRCO's operational side. Boi de Moel and Iris Grobben will begin establishing the first (regional) CIRCO hubs. A hub is a collaborative effort in which regional network partners autonomously implement the method, train companies, and ensure follow-up.
New Economy consultants also contribute to CIRCO innovation projects. For example, they developed an e-demo of the methodology and a webinar on the opportunities of circular business models.
